♫Transylvania Dreaming♫

Come hang with us at the beach. Bring your mamas and your papas!

In the Transylvania Dreaming world, the sun isn't fatal, but it's still quite depressing. And annoying AF.

The image is a Dracula-like figure standing on a concrete ledge before a large expanse of 60s beachgoers. Poor guy. There just aren't as many acting roles as there used to be.

Want to be back in the mountains
Under skies of gray
...
The sun glares down its hatred
Without a caul of clouds

I can relate to this. While I very much enjoyed my sojourn in Texas, I prefer the seasons in Massachusetts.

And I don't think much of the graveyards
Too manicured, too new

I agree with Drac! While I'm not opposed to cemetery-rather-than-graveyard, these modern perpetual endowment flush-with-grass-gravestone only-real-flowers-for-one-week places remind me more of the Victorian era UK lordship estates than the churchyards of the bygone era.

Air that tastes like garlic
And blood that tastes like kale

Garlic as a bane predates Bram Stoker. Kale is Portlandia era. Poor Drac! Besetted on all sides. I'm only immune because I've hated hipsters long before it was cool.
