♫Cyber Truck♫

I was this many years old when I finally learned that "Deuce" in the context of automobiles meant a 1932 Ford turned into a hot rod. c.f. "Little Deuce Coop" (or the oft-misquoted line from "Blinded By the Light": "Revved up like a deuce.") Apparently, young men in the 1940s and 50s found that they could afford old cars and retrofit them. Nice!

But enough of that century-old crap. Let's get to the 21st Century crap: Tesla's Cyber Truck! Prepayments accepted in 2019; deliveries in 2023!

The video image reminds me of the Rat Fink art you'd see plastered on T-shirts. I doubt that's a coincidence.

Personally, I don't have an issue with Tesla per se; and I do like the torque that electric motors deliver. But I drive like an old man and I don't have access to an overnight socket, so they're not for me.

But I have revived the "punch buggy" practice, with a twist: should someone shout "CyberTrunk", all passengers are required to flip the bird. So even though the lyrics are over-the-top, I can vibe with it.

Practically every line is mockery; I can't quote them all. Fenris doesn't hold back. It's the kind of thing that would have been on Dr. Demento.

Let's start out easy:

Got a cyber truck And she's really fine Nothing slows her down Except a slight incline

Okay, okay. We can see where this is going.

Kinda like a caddy Cause it's hard to forget Kinda like a gremlin Cause you can't get it wet

That last bit is a nice pun: the AMC Gremlin was succeptible to rust and did not have good traction in the rain. But Fenris is talking about the Gremlins from the horror movie, where one of the rules is "Don't get them Wet".

Got an AI autopilot That is really wild Hardly ever hits A pothole or child

There's more after that, but I think you get the gist.
